Life Line Screening Testing
· Over 700,000 Strokes will occur this year alone!
· Stroke will cause approximately160,000 deaths this year – 3rd leading cause of death in U.S.
· Stroke is the #1 Reason for Nursing Home Entries
Life Line Screening Radiology will be performing a day of preventative health screenings at the Curves of Jefferson Township on Thursday, January 26, 2012.
Life Line Screening Radiology screens the carotid arteries in the neck for plaque (most strokes are linked to carotid artery blockage) and the arteries in the legs for peripheral arterial disease, which is linked to heart disease. They offer a third test that screens for aneurysms in the aortic vessel in the abdomen. Ruptured aortic aneurysms are the 13th leading cause of death in America (10th among men)! Life Line Screening Radiology will also offer a bone density screening to test your risk for osteoporosis.
“Why not just go to my doctor for these tests?” you may ask. The answer, although relatively surprising, is that your physician cannot order these tests without clear evidence of symptoms. Ironically, most people who suffer a stroke or aortic abdominal aneurysm never show any signs or symptoms that a major medical catastrophe is about to occur.
These non-invasive, completely painless vascular screenings take about 10 minutes each, and are offered for just forty-five dollars (5 vascular tests for $149.00). YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER. Appointments spaces are limited, so please sign up now by calling 1-800-636-0418.
